Purolator has reached a tentative agreement with Teamsters Canada avoiding a strike. Teamsters Canada issued the 72-hour strike notice after their members rejected the final offer on Sunday with the deadline being today at 4:30pm.
“We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience over the past few days,” said Ken Johnston, vice president of human resources and labour relations at the company. “We’re happy to get back to delivering our customers’ packages now that we’ve reached an agreement.”
Purolator will resume accepting packages today.
