There are ways that every organization can reduce their costs for mailing equipment and it may come in some in areas that you might not expect. 

Let’s face it, managing shipping is not easy.  You have so many carriers, classes, surcharges, paperwork and requirements that it can get overwhelming. 

This is one of those articles that only a select few need to read.

In the 20 years I have been helping customers save money on mail, few times have I seen entities with detailed reporting on all of their different spends. 

It has just been announced that the Postal Regulatory Commission has approved an exigent increase in pricing that will impact most mail by 6%. 

It can be very complicated to manage your mailing equipment agreements because there are so many different charges and often time avoidable fees can arise. 

We find that many businesses do not keep good tabs of their postage meter balances, which can lead to lost funds or dormant/inactive accounts.

In most years, the proposed rate increase is pretty simple.  The rates go up in the 1-4% range and are tied to the Consumer Price Index.
