New USPS® Rates Approved

january-2017-rate-change

The USPS® has received approval from the PRC (Postal Regulatory Commission) to proceed with the proposed January 2017 rate changes (with the exception of Special Services).

New rates will become effective January 22, 2017.

This increase represents a 2 cent increase to First-Class Mail (1 oz); returning the price back to where it was before the removal of the exigent surcharge.

There will be no change to Postcards, International Letter or First-Class Letters additional ounces.

The rate change benefits PC Postage and postage meter users with a .5 cent savings to what they pay today and a 6% benefit (3 cent savings) compared to the regular price of stamps.
