The News on Stamps.com

Many of our clients have reached out to us regarding the recent news that Stamps.com has ended their exclusive partnership with the USPS® asking about what this means. They were concerned because in one day the stock lost over 50% of its value.

We believe that there was an exclusivity agreement for some sort of revenue share from the package spends that were processed through the Stamps.com system that may now end or be reduced. This is in addition to any client subscription revenue that you may be paying today. This in no way stops Stamps.com from operating in their core business nor should it impact their customers. Stamps.com is still the leader in the PC Postage market and will be able to service clients for years to come. There is nothing that the USPS has done to stop Stamps.com from providing their core PC Postage services and this separation should give Stamps.com more flexibility in the future to offer multi-carrier solutions offerings.
